Volunteering Opportunities at AACE Edmonton Section
The following board positions have become available in the AACE Edmonton Aurora Section, if you are a member of the local section; please consider volunteering at your section. Volunteering is a great way to network, meet new peoples from the project management/control community. Please review the job description and select any position to apply for.
1. Director – Dinner Meetings
– Responsible to Book Venue
– Arrange Food and drinks
– Registration on the Event Date for walk-ins
– Buy Gift for Speaker
2. Director – Student Coordinator
– Arrange two Student Outreach events in coordination with the Faculty representative in the Board
– Take Approval and completely organize the events
3. Director Communication and Asst. Director Communications
– Manage LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Website, and Gmail Account of the Section; continuously update the Social Media with Event updates (daily)
– Interact with AACE Edmonton website maintenance and update latest pictures and Content, Act as a single point of Contact for all Communication needs
– Prepare and Share the Source Article QUARTERLY
– Prepare and Share the Monthly Newsletter
4. Director - Membership
– Organize Events to recruit new members
– Welcome Email to New Members
– Emails Members for renewal Notice
– Note and Share the Monthly Board Meetings minutes (shared responsibility with the VP)
5. Director – Education
– Organize Skills and Knowledge Workshop
– Arrange Food for the Event
– Print Material
– Prepare the Materials
– Coordinate with Speakers
– Organize Certifications Training course
6. Director – Webinars
– Prospect online seminar opportunities and find tools through which the Section can Organize Webinars for the section membership
– Manage
Criteria for Evaluation:
Board member must be Committed, Responsible, Energetic, should come up with ideas out of the box and doers with minimum supervision.
